That was a long title. But I have been taking a lot of photos, especially since I bought a Pentax K-r to replace my K 200D, and a new 35 mm lens. I am not disappointed! The old camera is going to a friend soon; I'm glad it's found a good home. It is just a camera, but it's kind of been my sidekick for the last 2.5 years, so it holds a lot of sentimental value. Maybe eventually not just for me.

She plays a mean piano.

Also, here's a random (read: boring) video of Rosie I took to test out the K-r's video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXrtM5P6a5U - click "720p" to watch it in HD.

The very first photo I took with the K-r. It's a really awkward picture of John's cat, Mellow.

...as if every photo of him isn't awkward in some way.

It is in my nature to take awful pictures of cats rolling around. I can't help myself.

A fish with a tumor.

Blarf, doing what she does best.

Some photos from the Taste of Maplewood festival thing, where all the people were boring so I took pictures of their dogs instead:

...Really poorly framed pictures of dogs.

I liked this dog, though the prong collar makes me sad.

Oh, Bostons. They're adorable yet painful to look at.

This little dog is the cutest little dog.

PARROT PACK. If you look close, you can see what looks to be an African Grey in there.

A cat came to see what was going on, then decided I was lame and left.

Wobble cat! We met up with it again on the way back.

The Botanical Gardens also happened:

Also in my nature: boring pictures of fish.

Compression might have killed the reds on these last two. I haven't actually looked at the web versions yet, so apologies if they're all gross looking.

I would say I saved the best for last, but I just uploaded these in chronological order, so...

The end!

On Friday I'll be leavin' for London (and Paris, for a bit)! No doubt I'll have even more photos when I get back.

God your pictures are so good. Smeg hadn't seen Rosie yet so I showed her and she's like THAT GECKO LOOKS SO SOFT! Is she soft?? I love her tongue. And I love all those smiley dogs and in the picture of the dog with the cat, THAT CAT HAS A BIG COW BUTT AND A TINY HEAD. I can't wait to see your London/Paris pictures!!

She actually is really soft! Except for her tiny claws. Sometimes she runs up my arm and it feels like tiny pinpricks but usually it doesn't bother me too much.
