My week in picture form
...Sort of. I got my new camera (Pentax K200D) on Monday, and today the macro lens I bought (Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG) got here. I don't know what else to say about them, so here are some photos I took to test out my camera: http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s311/b
And here are some slightly more thoughtful photos (but only slightly).

All of these were taken at the bike trail by the fine arts building on my college's campus.

STAY CLASSY, UMSL.
This one is kind of boring (well, they're all kind of boring), but it's still my favorite.
Oh my god it's like the same photo I am so good at this photography thing right

Well, that's all for that.
Part of a larger project I call "Spiny Joe." You can check it out at my art journal, tarquini.livejournal.com (someday I will use my Blogspot thing instead).

At Gingham's with Melissa. I love that place. It is where Ross Perotcake was born.
We hung out at her house.
Melissa's dog, Belle.
Dead Santa!

Melissa had to see this house before I went home. These people have the first house in the neighborhood next to mine, and they do this crazy shit every year for every major holiday.
Foxy Malone, my new fish. This one was actually taken with my old camera, but I don't have a better picture of him right now.
Then I got my macro lens:

I tried taking photos of my fish with it:

It's incredibly difficult to take photos of tiny moving things with a macro lens. Out of maybe 100 photos, these were the only decent ones. I'm not surprised, but it'll take some getting used to, I guess.
I've taken over 600 photos with this camera since Monday. I want to take photos of everything that exists, no matter how mundane or trivial. This is good, because things are not going so well at work, and I need new distractions. I'm done with classes for the semester, which means I can start drawing again, too (well, drawing outside of class, anyway).
